Joe Farnsworth, bringing his love of color, music, and faith into every detail.
The Overview
Created for jazz drummer Joe Farnsworth, Time to Swing brings his personal vision to a pair of Nike Pegasus 42s. Working with his chosen shoe, we developed several concepts before settling on a vibrant composition of warm colors, hand-painted doves, and gold accents. His requested cross with a Jesus silhouette and “#TimeToSwing” lettering make the finished pair distinctly his own.
Design Direction
Joe’s love of yellow, orange, red, and blue guided the early concepts. The final design pairs warm, flowing shapes with bold black outlines, creating movement across the shoes. Hand-painted doves bring his requested imagery into the composition, while gold Swooshes and leather laces tie the pair together.
Finishing Touches
Gold leather laces and metallic gold Swooshes bring the palette together, while Joe’s “#TimeToSwing” lettering adds his personal signature. Crosses with Jesus silhouettes on the heels complete the pair with a meaningful expression of his faith.

Developed through several concepts and conversations with Joe, Time to Swing brings his favorite colors, faith, and personal imagery into one cohesive design. From the hand-painted doves to his signature hashtag, each detail reflects the person behind the pair.
